CEP 817  Learning Technology Through Design

Learning Technology Through Design is a engaging course that begins by exploring multiple examples of both good and bad design in order to construct a definition of good design. Then various digital tools are used to create examples of good design or delivery of education. As my course project I build a designed an interactive website through which students construct meaning together around the uses of commas. Normally a dry and didactic area of grammar and punctuation study in fifth grade, my goal was to make the study of comma usage more engaging by empowering students through a constructivist approach toward meaning and understanding. The first image below links to a commercial I made for the Oxford comma as part of the website; the second image links to the comma website itself.
